ASTM D6082 Lubricating Oil High-Temperature Foam Characteristic Analyzer Foam Characteristic Testing Machine
Application
The SH126E High-Temperature Foam Characteristic Tester is designed for measuring the foam characteristics of lubricating oils at 150°C. The test procedure involves heating the sample to 49°C, holding it at this temperature for 30 minutes, and then cooling it to room temperature. The sample is subsequently transferred to a specified measuring cylinder and heated to 150°C. Dry air is passed through a metal diffuser for 5 minutes. The static foam volume, dynamic foam volume, static foam volume after stopping air flow, foam dissipation time, and the percentage increase in total volume are measured.
