Product Description
Dew Point Meter Dew-point Instrument
1.Product Introduction
The GA-5 Dew Point Meter is designed and manufactured in accordance with the national standard GB/T 11944-2012 Insulating Glass, and is a specialized instrument for detecting the dew point performance of insulating glass.
The dew point meter consists of a copper-base glass tube and a dedicated low-temperature digital thermometer.
Usage method
- Inject approximately 25mm of ethanol or acetone into the glass tube. Turn on the thermometer, insert the probe into the glass tube, and add dry ice to lower the temperature to ≤ -60°C. Maintain the temperature at -60°C throughout the test by adding dry ice to the glass tube.
- Place the test sample horizontally and apply a layer of ethanol or acetone to its upper surface. Press the dew point meter tightly against this surface, and keep it in contact for the duration specified in the standard.
- Remove the dew point meter and immediately observe whether condensation or frost forms on the inner surface of the glass sample. If there is no frost or condensation, the dew point temperature is recorded as -60°C. If condensation or frost appears, wait until the sample is completely free of frost or condensation, then increase the dew point meter temperature for continuous measurement. Raise the temperature by 5°C each time until -40°C is reached. Record the highest condensation temperature of the sample, which is the dew point temperature of the sample.
