Bending Tester Curvature Tester Bending Testing Machine
1.Product Introduction

The GA-5X type bending tester is designed and manufactured in accordance with the national standard GB11614-2009 "Float Glass", and is used to test the bending degree of various glass products. It is suitable for a series of glass products such as float glass and tempered glass.

Instrument Principle
This instrument uses a straightened thin steel wire as a reference and a precisely aligned guide rail as the benchmark. A dial indicator is installed on the guide rail and can be electrically moved in a straight line to measure the distance between the glass sample and the steel wire, thereby calculating the curvature of the glass sample.


Operation instructions

  1. Determine whether to use the sample bracket under the instrument beam according to the size of the sample to be tested.
  2. Visually inspect the glass to be tested, place the glass sample vertically on the sample rack with the concave surface facing the instrument, and ensure the glass is as parallel as possible to the instrument guide rail.
  3. Adjust the steel wire to gently touch both ends of the glass. At this point, a gap will form between the middle of the glass and the steel wire.
  4. Move the dial gauge to the contact points between the steel wire and both ends of the glass, read the dial gauge values \(d_1\) and \(d_2\) respectively, and measure the distance L between the two contact points (i.e., the length of the glass) from the steel ruler on the guide rail. Note: When moving the dial gauge, first select between two independent control modes ("local button control" and "remote control") using the main command switch; the speed control box is equipped with a switch and a knob to adjust the horizontal movement speed of the dial gauge.
  5. Move the dial gauge to the midpoint  of the glass and read the gap d0 between the steel wire and the glass.
  6. Calculate the curvature of the glass using the following formula:B=[(d2+d1)/2-d0]÷L
 

Maintenance and upkeep

The key to this machine lies in the high alignment accuracy of the guide rails. Regularly, it is necessary to observe whether there are any foreign objects on the surface of the guide rails and whether the high-precision guide rails are short of oil (it is recommended to maintain them once a year).
