Introduction

 

The resin sand sampling machine is used for making standard test samples required for determining the permeability, compressive strength, shear strength, tensile strength, and thermal stability of resin sand, among other process physical properties. The resin sand sampling machine consists of a base, bottom plate, sample box, pre-filling frame, pulling knife, guide plate, weight block, handwheel, cam, and other parts. It can simultaneously produce multiple standard samples with a certain degree of compaction.
The working principle involves the compaction work of the resin sand sample being composed of the vibration of the sample sand and the pressure of the weight block. The vibration work mainly compacts the lower part of the sample, while the upper part is primarily compacted by the pressure of the weight block.
Vibration work = Ghnn Compaction work = Qhnn
Only by selecting the appropriate weight block can the difference in compaction between the upper and lower parts of the sample be eliminated. In the formula: G - weight of the sample sand; Q - weight of the weight block; h - height of the impact; n - number of impacts; n - coefficient of impact energy loss.
