2. Scope of use
Surface resistance: The quotient of the voltage applied between two electrodes on a certain surface of the sample and the current flowing between the two electrodes after a certain period of time. The surface resistance test of the water-blocking tape is carried out according to the method in Appendix C.
Volume resistance: The quotient of the DC voltage between two electrodes placed on two opposite surfaces of the sample and the stable current flowing between the two electrodes.
Volume resistivity: The quotient of the DC electric field strength in the material and the stable current density. The volume resistivity test of the water-blocking tape is carried out according to the method in Appendix D; the test temperature is 23ºC±2ºC.
