Introduction
The WYV-S Digital V-Prism Refractometer is designed to measure the refractive index of transparent or semi-transparent solids and liquids. It is particularly useful in the research and development of optical glass and the trial production of new products, as it can quickly determine the refractive index once the type of optical glass is known. Due to its high measurement accuracy, it can also be used to measure the changes in refractive index after high-temperature heat treatment of materials. It is widely used in optical glass factories, the eyewear industry, petroleum, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, sugar production, food industry, scientific research institutions, and universities.
The WYV-S features a color LCD touch screen and is a high-precision, multi-wavelength, and wide-range refractometer that is convenient to use, fast, and has excellent repeatability.
It comes with 8 built-in measurement methods for rapid and accurate determination of the mass fraction (Brix) of sugar solutions, glucose, F42, and F55 fruit glucose syrup. It is also capable of measuring the solid content in fruit juices, vegetables, soft drinks, and canned products.
By upgrading the software of the V-Prism Refractometer, users can customize the settings for common V-block types such as K5 solids, K5 liquids, ZF1, ZF6, in addition to satisfying the requirements for these standard types.
The refractometer includes user-defined polynomial measurement units and average dispersion calculation formulas, as well as a temperature compensation feature.
Equipped with multiple communication interfaces, it can connect to a computer for data storage and export. It is used in the metrology industry for the verification and calibration of automatic Abbe, digital Abbe, portable refractometers, and handheld sugar meters.
