All diesel injection equipment uses diesel as a lubricant to some extent. Excessive friction-induced wear can shorten the lifespan of engine components such as diesel injection pumps and injectors. Poor diesel lubricity is one of the reasons for this. It has been confirmed that under conditions of boundary lubrication, the test results are related to the damage caused by wear in diesel injection equipment. The test results using the high-frequency reciprocating test method have a good correlation with the lubrication problems of diesel and related equipment, and can appropriately predict the lubrication performance of diesel.
The friction performance of diesel oil determines the lifespan of various key components. Therefore, the determination and research of diesel lubricity are necessary in certain situations. The GA-2W diesel reciprocating friction testing machine mainly uses standard ball friction as the friction pair. The main machine adopts computer automatic detection and control. The test sample is placed in the oil tank set at a certain temperature, and the steel ball is fixed in the vertical fixture and loaded on the horizontally installed steel plate. The steel ball moves back and forth at the set frequency and stroke. The contact interface between the ball and the plate is completely immersed in the sample. The test must select the material of the ball and the plate according to the standard requirements, set the test temperature, load, frequency and stroke. Determine the test environment (temperature and humidity) to correct the diameter of the wear spots of the steel ball to the value under standard conditions, and the lubricity of the test sample is expressed by the corrected diameter of the wear spots.
